About Scott
I believe curiosity can transform our lives and our world. — curiosity expert, author of Seek, and TED speaker, Scott Shigeoka.
I’ve spent years studying and teaching curiosity as a tool for understanding and connection, including at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center.
The idea for the Curiosity Mobile came to me while sitting on a desert rock in Joshua Tree with my best friend, Luisa. A simple question—What creative dream do I want to bring to life?—sparked a vision of traveling across America to share stories of people bridging divides in their communities. With Luisa’s encouragement and a serendipitous conversation with our first partner at Visit Philadelphia, that vision became real. It’s a reminder that curiosity can move us toward meaningful action.
The Curiosity Mobile shares social-first stories of people choosing curiosity over judgment, connection over division, and action over apathy. Along the way, I’ll also offer curiosity practices—tools to help you ask better questions, open your mind, challenge assumptions, and participate in our democracy beyond the ballot box.

Make it
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
