What is the Curiosity Mobile?
The Curiosity Mobile is a cross-country storytelling project created and hosted by curiosity guide and author Scott Shigeoka. This storytelling project follows host Scott Shigeoka as he searches for people who are making a positive difference in their communities.

Closing the “Belief Gap”
People continue to overwhelmingly believe that including everyone in our democracy is important, and that we can and should care for everyone in our society - but according to research by organizations like PolicyLink, more and more Americans doubt it’s even possible to achieve. Scott hopes these stories renew our belief that a country where everyone belongs and flourishes is not only possible—but that it’s already happening and we all can take part in building it.

At a moment when doom and division dominates our news headlines and our social media feeds, the Curiosity Mobile elevates a competing narrative that’s grounded in hope and connection. The videos, photos, and essays that emerge from this project will be shared through national and local press, as well as social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.

Scott Shigeoka,
The Host and Creator of The Curiosity Mobile, an internationally recognized curiosity expert, TED speaker, and the award-winning author of Seek: How Curiosity Can Transform Your Life and Change the World.
His life’s work focuses on how we can strengthen our well-being and relationships, including as a Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center and as the Head of Curiosity Cultivation at the Eames Institute.
